SEMINAR : Intellectual Property – A Small Business Primer

Post placeholder image

On Thursday, August 22, I’ll be doing a presentation on intellectual property issues that small businesses are likely to encounter. Small businesses put a lot of effort into developing their identity and brands. Producing valuable intellectual property can be a significant expense; direct and indirect revenues related to your intellectual property can be even more significant.

Whether it’s your brand name, artwork or an invention, your creativity becomes a valuable but vulnerable business asset that should be protected. The session, entitled “Copyrights, Trademarks & Patents: A Small Business Primer with Zak Shusterman“, will address a range of topics including:

  • The main categories of intellectual property – trademarks, copyrights, and patents – and  how they apply to your business.
  • The range of precautions you can take to protect your intellectual property, including free and inexpensive options.
  • The potential value of these properties and how you can profit from them.

The seminar will be held at 7pm in Tarrytown, NY. You can find more details and sign up for the session here.  For any questions you might have about your intellectual property needs, feel free to contact Zak Shusterman directly.
